This year’s annual Adoption Celebration will be on Saturday, November 2nd at 1pm at Pathway Community Church in Fort Wayne!  Doors will open at 12:00pm.  This is a great event for families interested in adoption and also for families that have already experienced the joy of adoption!  Star 88.3 is currently collecting pictures of adopted children and families to include in their slideshow this year and will need them by October 4th.  You can email those to Michelle Sinn at michelle@star883.com.   We look forward to seeing you again this year!

Service Opportunity: Help Local Kids In Need

It only takes a few hours to make the world a better place.

On July 13, True Vine will come alongside Gateway Woods, a 50-acre residential care facility providing help and healing to troubled children, to show the hands-on love of Jesus around their campus.

Thanks to those of you who have already stepped up to help with some general landscaping and clean-up work.  We'll be doing light weeding and cleaning up brush. And Gateway Woods is providing lunch to say "Thanks!"

But we need more of you to help.

Post-Adoptive Parent Support Group

The next meeting for the Post-Adoptive Parent Support Group will be on Thursday, February 14th at 7:00 pm.  The meeting will be held at Pathway Community Church in Studio 24.  For more information, email Truevine Ministries at TrueVine@pccfw.org.  Hope to see you there!

Star 88.3 Adoption Celebration!

Star 88.3's Annual Adoption Celebration is coming up on Saturday, November 3rd.  The event will be held at Sonrise Church from 1-3pm (doors will open at noon). Many adoption agencies will be there with free information for those interested in adoption. This is a free event hosted by Melissa Montana and includes live music, testimonies, videos, and a lot of fun! Light refreshments and fellowship will follow the program.

This is a great event for families considering adoption, families in the middle of an adoption, and families who have adopted in the past to come together and encourage one another! 

Orphan Sunday

Orphan Sunday is coming up on November 4th.  This is a special day set aside for us to be reminded of the millions of orphans around the world that need OUR HELP.  Visit the Orphan Sunday website and be encouraged by the video on the home page.  Ask yourself what YOU can do to help...  We may not be able to make a difference in the lives of ALL the orphans around the world, but how is God calling us to make a difference in the life of ONE?

Post-Adoptive Parents Support Group

There has been a change in dates for the Adoption Support Group held at Pathway Community Church-  

We will now only be meeting on the second Thursday of each month.  The meetings in the next few months will be October 11, November 8,  and December 13.  Meetings are at 7:00 at the church. This is a great way for any adoptive parents in our community to come together and support one another.  We hope to see you there!

I know.... the title of this post doesn't make sense!  But did you know that you can raise money for your adoption simply by purchasing items through Amazon?  And not just your own purchases, but the purchases of your friends and family members too?!  OK, so here's how you do it!  Go HERE to this amazing blog about ADOPTING WITHOUT DEBT and learn how to set up your own personal Amazon account.  The financial side of adoption can be very intimidating for some people considering adoption.  But there are SO MANY ways to fundraise, SO MANY grants and scholarships out there, and SO MANY people willing to partner with you once you start the amazing journey of adoption.  Don't let finances stand in the way of what God calls you to.  Remember-  God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called!
